Interior Designs for Hallways
Does your home have ‘kerb appeal’?
The welcome you portray to your family, friends or prospective buyers begins the second they approach your front door – which is exactly where you should begin…
If you have a traditional wooden front door, give it a fresh coat of paint, French Mustard from Colour Trend, Brinjal or Cooks Blue from Farrow & Ball, in a high Gloss finish will create a stunning look.
Walls can often be the best feature of a hallway; a picture wall with a collection of framed photographs or prints can make a lovely feature. Printed wallpaper can also be very effective, just be careful, anything too busy can make your hallway appear narrower!
While ‘light and bright’ is a good rule of thumb when it comes to narrow hallway decorating ideas, if you want to be daring and have a larger space or a period home, rich tones such as greens, reds and purples can look stunning.
